Positive: The homestay has a beautiful garden and plantation. The homestay is a typical south indian home, directions to reach the homestay is also precisely given as it's in a single lane interior from main road.
Negative: 1) No one was there to receive us when we entered the homestay. There is a electricity cable just hanging at the main gate, if u have a big vehicle/ Traveller be careful if the hanging wire, it provides either wifi or electricity to the homestay 2) we booked 3 rooms, and on communication it was mentioned there will be twin rooms with common washroom but it was three rooms completely separated in different zones of the property and it is being managed by two very senior ladies who can't walk comfortably and have difficulty climbing stairs, so most of the work was done by us of carrying things up and down. 3) there is no clarity on how and whom to approach for basic drinking water 4) believe the owners when they tell you that you need to eat outside and come, there is no hotel or eatery close by, the main market is 15 mins drive from car. Recently a kairali café opened which is less than 10 mins drive but the owners after booking the room have informed that non vegetarian food is not allowed in property 5) please clarify on the ac part before booking, the property is extra humid and hot due to plantation and the richness in the soil so it gets uneasy at night to sleep without ac. Not all rooms have ac and we told the owner we will pay extra for ac but still they initially denied but later they agreed and gave us ac with no extra charge 6) there is no warm hospitality of any kind and we were more than 5 of us who travelled. Its odd if one person says this but it is a combined experience 7) they have a washing machine on top floor/ roof but only use the washing machine with prior permission 8) there is no free cancelation and no refund on cancelations so PLEASE clarify all your questions and then only book. 8) only good thing is there is direct access to nirvana beach which is a less than 20 mins drive and enroute there are tiny hole in the wall eateries and medical stores.
Summary: They dont do refunds so call and clarify on ac, rooms and basic amenities before booking
