Positive: I recently stayed at Ok-an Homestay during my Jaisalmer trip with my Friends, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions of my journey. The homestay is run by Aksar Bhai and Yuki-san, and from the very first call, Aksar Bhai made everything smooth. He helped plan not just the stay but also the desert camp, activities, and transportation, so I didn’t have to worry about anything at all. He truly treats guests like family — you’ll never feel like you’re away from home. He takes care of you like an elder brother. His younger brother Sultan is also very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are private, clean, and cozy. They are small but perfectly comfortable and well maintained. The service is very good, and the overall vibe of the place is peaceful and warm. One of the best things about this homestay is the location — it’s very close to the fort and most major attractions are at walking distance, which makes exploring the city super easy. The highlight is the rooftop Japanese restaurant run by Yuki-san, who came all the way from Japan. She is such a kind, heart-warming, and welcoming person. Enjoying authentic Japanese cuisine along with Indian food on the rooftop, with a beautiful view of the fort, is truly an out-of-the-box experience in Jaisalmer. We stayed for 3 days, and the entire experience — stay, food, hospitality, and planning — was excellent. Just one call to Aksar Bhai, and everything was taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaisalmer. Would definitely love to stay here again.
