Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is a family owned property and the lovely family lives there. They were kind and very helpful, the service was excellent. The property was clean and the bed very comfortable. The property also has a rooftop with the best view of the Mehrangarh Fort. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner for an additional cost and are flexible with the hours although the choices are limited.

Negative: We booked this place because we wanted to be very close to the fort and this hotel, which feels more like an Airbnb is. It only took about 5 minutes walk to reach the fort. However, staying this close to the fort means cars can only get you to a certain point and then you have to take a rickshaw. We don’t recommend it if you have a lot of luggage as we did, since even where the rickshaw leaves you you have to go up about 20 steps and then a metal ladder to go up to the room. We did have help from the owner but every time we wanted to go out we knew we had to take a rickshaw and then an Uber or taxi, which was a little inconvenient for us. The other thing worth mentioning and of course we know it’s not the owners fault is that the day we were going to check-out the power went out from 7-11 am and May is very hot in Jodhpur. We had to pack in the dark and sweating, which wasn’t the best of the experiences. Other than that, amazing and lovely people and very decent place!
